How to Claim Friendie Headphones Through NDIS
Please Note: Friendie is not a registered NDIS provider. For self-managed participants, reimbursement is subject to NDIS approval and must align with your individual plan goals. We recommend confirming eligibility with your support coordinator or the NDIA before purchase if you're unsure.
Self-Managed Participants:
You can purchase the headphones first, then submit a claim to the NDIS using the paid invoice or receipt.
Steps:
- Choose Your Product: See table above.
- Place Your Order: Purchase directly through our website. Add a note at checkout that it's NDIS-related.
- Receive Your Invoice: An invoice will be provided at checkout.
-
Submit for Reimbursement: Log into the myGov portal and claim using the invoice. You may also forward it to your support coordinator for assistance.
Plan-managed NDIS customers can now order directly through our website with no delays or manual quoting.
Simply choose your headphones, add them to cart, and select “NDIS / Plan Manager Invoice” at checkout as the payment type.
Before checking out, please add a short note in the “Order Special Instructions” box in your cart. This helps us match your order to your NDIS plan manager quickly.
What to include in the cart note:
- Participant Name,
- Plan Manager Name (optional)
- Any relevant NDIS reasoning (e.g., “sensory support”, “auditory regulation”, “school use”)
Once you place your order:
- You’ll receive an order confirmation — This will include our bank payment details for your Plan Manager and an invoice (link at the bottom)
- Send the Bank payment details and the Invoice to your Plan Manager for approval and payment.
- Your Plan Manager can pay by bank transfer (preferred), or request a secure card‑payment link by emailing support@friendie.com.au with your “NDIS” + Order Number in the subject line.
- Your order ships as soon as payment is received, and a paid tax invoice is automatically issued for your records.
This process is fast, simple, and designed to reduce admin for both you and your Plan Manager.
Should you need a pro-forma invoice first (the above is not suitable) please email us at support@friendie.com.au with your name, reason for purchase, NDIS number (optional), shipping address and plan manager contact details.
